Housing boom in Poland
In 2007, some 677,800 homes were under construction (GUS), and more than in the previous year. Individually funded housing construction do still prevails. Among those homes were completed last year is as many as 53.5% that were built at individual people’s cost. But developers’ property share in the market is growing – last year they delivered 34.2% of all homes for use, while back in 2004 individual investors built more homes. Since the developers provide building shells, optionally with a complete bathroom, no wonder that – following the housing boom – more and more people become interested in interior design and the decorative materials.
